Citation:  1.) The President of the United States takes great pleasure in presenting the Distinguished Flying Cross to Warrant Officer Terrance M. Vraniak for heroism while participating in aerial flight evidenced by voluntary action above and beyond the call of duty in the Republic of Vietnam on 28 July 1970. Warrant Officer Vraniak distinguished himself by exceptionally valorous actions on while serving as Pilot of an OH-6A light observation helicopter during a reconnaissance mission near Camp Evans, Republic of Vietnam. When the base camp came under a rocket attack, Warrant Officer Vraniak conducted a search for suspected enemy positions. Coming under small arms fire, Warrant Officer Vraniak immediately engaged the enemy. Locating the hostile positions, he called for and directed aerial rocket artillery. His actions were instrumental in silencing the enemy and forcing them to flee the area. Warrant Officer Vraniak's personal bravery and devotion to duty were in keeping with the highest traditions of the military service and reflect great credit upon himself, his unit, and the United States Army.

2.) The President of the United States takes great pleasure in presenting the Distinguished Flying Cross to Warrant Officer Terrance M. Vraniak for heroism while participating in aerial flight evidenced by voluntary action above and beyond the call of duty in the Republic of Vietnam on 19 August 1970. Warrant Officer Vraniak distinguished himself by exceptionally valorous actions on while serving as Pilot of an OH-6A light observation helicopter during combat operations in Quang Tri Province, Republic of Vietnam. While supporting an infantry unit which was assaulting an enemy force in fortified bunkers, Warrant Officer Vraniak flew at low level over the enemy emplacements and placed suppressive fire on them. Subjecting himself to hostile fire, he continued to suppress the enemy, allowing friendly ground troops to maneuver. Despite suffering numerous damaging hits to his aircraft, he remained in the area and contributed greatly to the defeat of the hostile force. Warrant Officer Vraniak's personal bravery and devotion to duty were in keeping with the highest traditions of the military service and reflect great credit upon himself, his unit, and the United States Army.

3.) The President of the United States takes great pleasure in presenting the Distinguished Flying Cross to Chief Warrant Officer Terrance M. Vraniak for heroism while participating in aerial flight evidenced by voluntary action above and beyond the call of duty in the Republic of Vietnam. Chief Warrant Officer Vraniak distinguished himself on 25 January 1971 while serving as Pilot of an OH-6A observation helicopter during combat operations in Thua Thien Province , Republic of Vietnam. Upon receiving a request to provide visual reconnaissance during an emergency medical evacuation, Chief Warrant Officer Vraniak piloted his aircraft to the extraction site through hazardous flying conditions. When the medical evacuation aircraft was forced to withdraw due to intense enemy fire,a new site was chosen. Despite the worsening weather conditions, Chief Warrant Officer Vraniak volunteered to attempt the extraction. Upon reaching the landing zone, he skillfully maneuvered his aircraft through the mountainous terrain and onto the landing zone. The successful extraction was accomplished despite the immense threat of enemy fire and hazardous flying conditions. His actions enabled the wounded to receive prompt medical attention. Chief Warrant Officer Vraniak's outstanding flying ability and devotion to duty were in keeping with the highest traditions of the military service and reflect great credit upon himself, his unit, and the United States Army.
