Citation:  1.) The President of the United States takes pleasure in presenting the Distinguished Flying Cross to Second Lieutenant Harry W. Peters, Jr. for extraordinary achievement while participating in aerial flight over territory in Burma and China between 15 September 1944 to 22 December 1944 where exposure to enemy fire was probable and expected. Flying in unarmed cargo aircraft through instrument weather over hazardous terrain, these pilots and crew members brought equipment and supplies to the forward areas. Their devotion to duty and degree of efficiency, above and beyond that normally expected, reflect great credit on themselves and on the Army Air Force of the United States.

2.) The President of the United States takes pleasure in presenting the Distinguished Flying Cross to Second Lieutenant Harry W. Peters, Jr. for extraordinary achievement while participating in more than one hundred hours ofaerial flight over territory in Burma and China between 8 December 1944 to 27 January 1945 where exposure to enemy fire was probable and expected. Flying in unarmed cargo aircraft through instrument weather over hazardous terrain, these pilots and crew members brought equipment and supplies to the forward areas. Their devotion to duty and degree of efficiency, above and beyond that normally expected, reflect great credit on themselves and on the Army Air Force of the United States.
