Citation:  1.) The President of the United States takes great pleasure in presenting the Distinguished Flying Cross to First Lieutenant Harry P. Naruszewicz, (aka Harry P. NORRIS) for extraordinary achievement while participating in aerial flight as Pilot of a B-25 type aircraft. On 10 June 1944, Lieutenant Naruszewicz flew in an attack upon the marshalling yards at Fano, Italy. Upon the commencement of the bomb run, shell fragments from intense anti-aircraft fire heavily damaged his airplane and set fire to one engine. Displaying great courage and superior flying ability in the face of this accurate barrage, Lieutenant Naruszewicz maintained his crippled plane on course, thereby enabling his Bombardier to release his bombs with devastating effect upon this vital objective. Then skillfully piloting the shattered bomber in perfect formation to his home base, Lieutenant Naruszewicz effected a perfect landing without injury to his crew. On more than sixty-five combat missions, his outstanding proficiency and steadfast devotion to duty have reflected great credit upon himself and the Armed Forces of the United States.
