The President of the United States takes great pleasure in presenting the Distinguished Flying Cross to Captain Gregory J. Krosnoff for extraordinary achievement while participating in aerial flight as Navigator, RC-135M, 82d Strategic Reconnaissance Squadron, 4252d Strategic Wing, Kadena Air Base, Okinawa, on 14 September 1968. On that date, Captain Krosnoff flew a Southeast Asia mission in close proximity to hostile territory and under extremely adverse conditions. Although subjected to these hazards, Captain Krosnoff successfully assisted in the collection of intelligence data of great magnitude and of vital international significance. The professional competence, aerial skill and devotion to duty displayed by Captain Krosnoff reflect great credit upon himself and the United States Air Force.

Krosnoff for extraordinary achievement while participating in aerial flight as an F-4D Weapons Systems Officer over Southeast Asia on 15 April 1972. On that date, Captain Krosnoff displayed exceptional airmanship and courage while on a massive night strike against vital hostile supply, storage, and communications networks in North Vietnam. Despite sophisticated, intense, and highly accurate surface-to-air guided missile defenses, multiple and varied radar controlled, heavy caliber antiaircraft artillery, and the threat of numerous hostile interceptor aircraft, he delivered his ordnance on target with extreme precision and accurate timing required to achieve the highest degree of success and safety ever enjoyed in this theater of operations. The professional competence, aerial skill and devotion to duty displayed by Captain Krosnoff reflect great credit upon himself and the United States Air Force.

The President of the United States takes great pleasure in presenting the Distinguished Flying Cross (Third Oak Leaf Cluster) to Captain Gregory J. Krosnoff for extraordinary achievement while participating in aerial flight as an F-4D Weapons Systems Officer over Hanoi, North Vietnam on 10 May 1972. On that date, despite barrage fire of all calibers of antiaircraft artillery fire, Surface to Air Missiles, and numerous hostile aircraft throughout the area, Captain Krosnoff, with complete disregard for his own personal safety, steadfastly led his flight in ordnance deliveries to provide an essential protective shield for a following Strike Force targeted against the vital Paul Doumer Bridge. As a result of his heroic efforts in providing this necessary protection, the strike flights that followed were able to successfully interdict the Paul Doumer Bridge, effectively halting the flow of large quantities of vital supplies and ammunition destined for use by the North Vietnamese invaders, across the Demilitarized Zone in the Republic of Vietnam. The professional competence, aerial skill and devotion to duty displayed by Captain Krosnoff reflect great credit upon himself and the United States Air Force.

Krosnoff for extraordinary achievement while participating in aerial flight as an F-4D Weapons Systems Officer in Southeast Asia on 7 April 1972. On that date, despite heavy antiaircraft artillery fire and surface-to-air missiles, Captain Krosnoff delivered his ordnance on the surface-to-air missile sites, resulting in heavy damage to the missile launch complex and surrounding hostile antiaircraft artillery sites. The professional competence, aerial skill and devotion to duty displayed by Captain Krosnoff reflect great credit upon himself and the United States Air Force.

On that date, despite heavy ground fire which struck and damaged his aircraft, Captain Krosnoff, with complete disregard for his own personal safety, delivered his ordnance with precision, saving friendly ground forces from imminent defeat. As the Weapons Systems Officer, he was responsible for inflicting heavy casualties on the enemy.
