The Distinguished Flying Cross Society (DFCS) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to honoring and preserving the legacy of service members who have received the Distinguished Flying Cross (DFC). Through community outreach, historical preservation, and educational initiatives, we celebrate their achievements while inspiring future generations to uphold the values of courage and service. demonstrated their heroism.
Our Legacy derives from service members who have and extraordinary achievements in difficult situations in aerial flight. Their stories have emphasized what can be accomplished by ordinary people doing extraordinary things.

Support the Next Generation of Aviation professionals
The Distinguished Flying Cross Society is committed to supporting the next generation of aviation professionals by providing scholarships to individuals who plan to pursue an aviation related career. One and two year scholarships are awarded annually to recipients for both accredited college or university programs and for technical training or certifications. Technical scholarships support a wide range of aviation-related pathways, including General Mechanic and A&P Certification, Air Traffic Control (ATC) certification, Aircraft Dispatch, Pilot Certification, and degree or professional programs in the aviation industry.
