Mary Ellen Park was born at Portsmouth Naval Hospital in Norfolk, Virginia. Because her father was a career U.S. Marine officer, her family moved frequently throughout the

United States during her childhood, sometimes as often as every six months. Her mom is an amazing woman who supported Dad wherever he went. She is the oldest of four girls. Mary Ellen values her experiences growing up in a military family.

After graduating from Fallbrook high school, Mary Ellen attended the University of California, Santa Barbara, where she earned a degree in Kinesiology. She went on to enjoy a fulfilling career as a Physical Therapist Assistant. Following the birth of her two sons, Andrew and Alexander, Mary Ellen chose to retire from physical therapy to focus on raising her family.

When she decided to return to the workforce, a close friend introduced her to the organization. Mary Ellen began assisting her friend and, after her friend’s retirement, she  successfully interviewed with the DFCS to become the Membership Services Administrator. She has

proudly served in this role since 2016.

Today, Mary Ellen lives in Poway, California with her husband Dave, their two sons, and their dog Bella. She considers it an honor to serve the DFCS and is proud to contribute to the organization.
