LT Tyler "FoS" Mispley, Director

LT Tyler Mispley earned his commission from the United States Naval Academy in 2019 with a bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering. After commissioning, he started his flight training in Corpus Christi as a member of VT-28. Upon selection to the Rotary Wing community, LT Mispley completed advanced rotary wing training with HT-18, and eventually earned his wings of gold in December of 2021 and selected to fly the MH-60S Nighthawk.

Tyler then checked in to HSC-2, a Norfolk, Virginia based fleet replacement squadron tasked with training and preparing aviators for operational fleet squadrons. Upon completion of his syllabus, LT Mispley was assigned to HSC-28 Dragon Whales, also located in Norfolk, Virginia. His time at HSC-28 would include deployments to Sigonella, Italy as logistical support for 6th fleet operations, Bahrain, and various auxiliary support missions including NASA Human Space Flight Support Program, and U.S. Secret Service Huntsman Program.

LT Mispley is currently assigned to HSC-2 as an Instructor Pilot, as well as serving as an ex-officio for the Distinguished Flying Cross Society. He has accumulated over 900 hours in various aircraft, and his achievements include the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal as well as various unit citations and awards.
