Citation:  1.) The President of the United States of America, authorized by Act of Congress, 2 July 1926, has awarded the DISTINGUISHED FL YING CROSS to Captain Taylor S. Watson, United States Army, for heroism while participating in aerial flight on 6 December 2015 as an MH-47G Pilot for a Joint Task Force in support of Operation FREEDOM'S SENTINEL. On this date, Captain Watson's leadership, superior aviation expertise, and blatant disregard for personal welfare was evident during a 16-hour mission culminating in a daylight exfil of the ground force from a heavily enemy defended valley. Captain Watson's distinctive accomplishments are in keeping with the finest traditions of military service and reflect great credit upon himself, the Joint Task Force, and the United States Army.

2.) The President of the United States of America, authorized by Act of Congress, 2 July 1926, has awarded the DISTINGUISHED FLYING CROSS with “C” device to Chief Warrant Officer Taylor S. Watson, United States Army, for heroism while participating in aerial flight from 25 January 2023 to 26 January 2023 as the MH-47G Flight Lead Qualified Pilot -In-Command for a Joint Task Force in support of overseas contingency operations. During this period, Chief Warrant Officer Two Watson flawlessly executed a high risk mission, launching from a complex maritime setting, through an early warning network, and under persistent enemy threat in harsh environmental conditions. With total disregard for is personal safety, Chief Warrant Officer Two Watson displayed distinct courage and exceptional airmanship in aerial flight under hostile threat against an armed enemy of the United States. Through his distinctive accomplishments, Chief Warrant Officer Two Watson reflected great credit upon himself, this command, and the United States Army. (With "C" Device)
