Citation:  1.) The President of the United States takes great pleasure in presenting the Distinguished Flying Cross to Captain Bobby R. Taylor for extraordinary achievement while participating in aerial flight as a Navigator of an EC121R reconnaissance aircraft in Southeast Asia on 24 May 1969. On that date, despite the loss of all navigational aids and with extreme weather conditions present, Captain Taylor was able to direct the aircraft in its area of operations and maintain the precise navigational tolerances required for its safety. His outstanding aerial and professional skill was directly responsible for the successful completion of a highly sensitive reconnaissance mission. The professional competence, aerial skill, and devotion to duty displayed by Captain Taylor reflect great credit upon himself and the United States Air Force.
