Citation: 1.) The President of the United States takes great pleasure in presenting the Distinguished Flying Cross to First Lieutenant Arthur R. Bousquet for heroism and extraordinary achievement in aerial flight as Pilot of a plane in Marine Fighter Squadron Three Hundred Twelve during operations against enemy aggressor forces in Korea on 14 November 1951. Detecting two enemy gun emplacements while he was leading his section in a close air support mission, First Lieutenant Bousquet promptly initiated a series of daring attacks against the objective and personally scored a direct hit on one of the positions with a napalm bomb. Despite the heavy concentration of hostile automatic weapons and small arms fire, he pressed repeated low-level bombing runs on the target, scoring a direct hit on a second enemy gun emplacement and destroying three large bunkers. By his skilled airmanship, marked courage and unswerving devotion to duty, First Lieutenant Bousquet upheld the highest traditions of the United States Naval Service.
