At this location, Warrant Officer Sullivan engaged the enemy under heavy automatic weapons fire and anti-aircraft fire. His ferocious and daring attacks wrought havoc as he flew his aircraft into the teeth of the enemy assault. Despite several hits from enemy fire, he would not desist in pouring accurate fire into fortified enemy bunkers. His actions were in keeping with the highest traditions of the military service and reflect great credit upon himself, his unit, and the United states Army.
