Citation:  1.) The Distinguished Flying Cross for extraordinary achievement in aerial flight. On that date, 3 February 1945, Lieutenant St. Pierre, during a mission against enemy gun positions in the area of Sinzig, Germany distinguished himself by outstanding aerial skill and courage. Despite the fact that his aircraft sustained severe damage during the initial attack and his bombardier was wounded by enemy fire, Lieutenant St. Pierre retained his position in flight and dropped his bombs with great accuracy upon the target. The aggressiveness and piloting skill exhibited by Lieutenant St. Pierre on this occasion evidenced a devotion to duty in keeping with the finest traditions of the Army Air Forces.
