Citation:  1.) The President of the United States takes great pleasure in presenting the Distinguished Flying Cross to Major Orbie G. Robertson for heroism while participating in aerial flight as a helicopter pilot in Southeast Asia on 13 December 1967. Major Robertson, with complete disregard for his own personal safety exposed himself to heavy hostile ground fire during the evacuation of a seriously wounded Vietnamese soldier from Cai Nuoc Outpost, while the outpost was under attack. The outstanding heroism and devotion to duty displayed by Major Robertson reflect great credit upon himself and the United States Air Force.
