Citation:  1.) The Distinguished Flying Cross for extraordinary achievement while participating in aerial flight as an F-100 Tactical Fighter Pilot near the Duc Lap Special Forces Camp, Republic of Vietnam on 29 August 1968. On that date Major Robertson provided close air support for friendly forces pinned-down by a large hostile force. Major Robertson's precise ordnance deliveries despite the hazards of marginal weather conditions, close proximity of friendly forces, and heavy small arms and automatic weapons fire directed at his aircraft enabled the friendly forces to advance and secure their position. The professional competence, aerial skill and devotion to duty displayed by Major Robertson reflect great upon himself and the United States Air Force.
