Citation:  1.) The President of the United States takes great pleasure in presenting the Distinguished Flying Cross to Airman First Class Hector E. Aleman-Ramos for extraordinary achievement while participating in aerial flight as a C-123 Flight Mechanic at Cat Drop Zone, Republic of Vietnam, on 17 August 1966. On that date, Airman Aleman-Ramos and the rest of the crew deployed over Cat Drop Zone, with the mission of air dropping 12,000 pounds of ammunition to United States Army Forces in support of Operation Paul Revere II. Disregarding nearby hostile operations and the other hazards presented by parked helicopters and a short drop zone, Airman Aleman-Ramos and the crew air dropped six tons of ammunition to the camp in one single pass. The professional competence, aerial skill, and devotion to duty displayed by Airman AlemanRamos reflect great credit upon himself and the United States Air Force.
