Citation: 1.) The President of the United States takes great pleasure in presenting the Distinguished Flying Cross to Captain Terry V. Morgan for extraordinary heroism and gallantry in aerial combat on 27 February 1991, while serving as an OH-58 Aeroscout Pilot, Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 4th Battalion, 1st Aviation Regiment, 1st Infantry Division (mechanized), Operation Desert Storm. While under enemy fire and adverse weather conditions, he repeatedly contributed to the destruction of enemy vehicles and flew deep into enemy-held Kuwait. His demonstrated bravery and fighter skills were above and beyond the call of duty. His flawless execution was key to the total success of the unit mission, the destruction of Iraqi ground forces and the Liberation of Kuwait. Captain Morgan's superb performance was in keeping with the proudest traditions of the military service and reflects great credit upon him, the 1st Infantry Division (mechanized), and the United States Army.
