Citation:  1.) The President of the United States takes great pleasure in presenting the Distinguished Flying Cross to First Lieutenant Anthony L. Liguori for extraordinary achievement while participating in aerial flight as a C-123 Pilot at Tien Phouc, Republic of Vietnam on 10 March 1970. During a night maintenance recovery operation. Lieutenant Liguori made a successful blackout approach and landing at the small, unlighted airstrip. Through his well-planned actions and skill, maintenance personnel were able to quickly offload and repair the damaged aircraft, thus minimizing exposure of aircraft and personnel in the hostile environment. The professional competence, aerial skill, and devotion to duty displayed by Lieutenant Liguori reflect great credit upon himself and the United States Air Force.
