Citation:  1.) The President of the United States takes great pleasure in presenting the Distinguished Flying Cross to First Lieutenant Robert A. Kuropkat for extraordinary achievement while participating in aerial flight as an Electronic Warfare Observer of a R-47H aircraft from 9 August 1962 to 23 October 1962. During this period while participating in a program of international significance Lieutenant Kuropkat displayed courage and exceptional flying ability. The outstanding aerial proficiency and devotion to duty demonstrated by Lieutenant Kuropkat reflect great credit upon himself and the United States Air Force.

2.) The President of the United States takes great pleasure in presenting the Distinguished Flying Cross (First Oak Leaf Cluster) to First Lieutenant Robert A. Kuropkat for extraordinary achievement during aerial flight as an Electronic Warfare Supervisor from 8 July 1965 to 11 October 1965. During this period he demonstrated outstanding airmanship and courage while flying special missions under extremely hazardous conditions. His successful completion of these missions produced information of vital importance to the nation's security. The professional skill, distinctive achievements, and devotion to duty of First Lieutenant Kuropkat reflect great credit upon himself and the United States Air Force.
