Citation:  1.) The President of the United States takes great pleasure in presenting the Distinguished Flying Cross to Captain Robert J. Krogseng for extraordinary achievement while participating in aerial flight as an F-4D Radar Navigator in Southeast Asia on 7 May 1968. On that date, Captain Krogseng navigated his flight into rugged mountainous terrain against a strategic petroleum storage area which supported hostile infiltration traffic into the Republic of Vietnam. His aggressive skill and courage, during multiple passes into heavy ground fire, enabled his flight to seriously deter the hostile infiltration effort with sixty secondary explosions and nine sustained petroleum fires. The outstanding heroism and selfless devotion to duty displayed by Captain Krogseng reflect great credit upon himself and the United States Air Force.

2.) The President of the United States takes great pleasure in presenting the Distinguished Flying Cross to Captain Robert J. Krogseng for extraordinary achievement while participating in aerial flight as an F-4D Systems Operator in Southeast Asia on 3 July 1968. On that date, Captain Krogseng flew as the Radar Navigator on a night armed reconnaissance mission over a highly defended are of North Vietnam. In spite of intense and accurate anti-aircraft fire Captain Krogseng located a hostile convoy and significantly aided the Aircraft Commander in executing multiple low-level ordnance delivery passes resulting in destruction of the convoy. The professional competence, aerial skill and devotion to duty displayed by Captain Krogseng reflect great credit upon himself and the United States Air Force.

3.) The President of the United States takes great pleasure in presenting the Distinguished Flying Cross to Captain Robert J. Krogseng for extraordinary achievement while participating in aerial flight as an F-4D Radar Navigator in Southeast Asia on 12 May 1968. On that date, Captain Krogseng flew in defense of the friendly forces at Kham Duc Special Forces Camp, which was under siege by a large hostile force. His aerial skill and courage in the face of heavy, hostile ground fire were significant factors in the saving of many friendly lives. The professional competence, aerial skill and devotion to duty displayed by Captain Krogseng reflect great credit upon himself and the United States Air Force.
