Citation:  1.) The President of the United States takes great pleasure in presenting the Distinguished Flying Cross to Captain Glenn A. Jewett for extraordinary achievement while participating in aerial flight as a C-130E Aircraft Commander at Cao Lanh, Republic of Vietnam on 19 March 1968. On that date, Captain Jewett accomplished a successful airdrop of vital supplies in the face of hostile fire by unfriendly forces. Despite severe battle damage to his aircraft and the intense pressure of the combat environment, his achievement helped to sustain the Special Forces Camp at Cao Lanh, assuring its effectiveness as a fighting force. The professional competence, aerial skill and devotion to duty displayed Captain Jewett reflect great credit upon himself and the United States Air Force.
