Citation:  1.) The President of the United States takes great pleasure in presenting the Distinguished Flying Cross to Major Alidore A. Jancauskas for extraordinary achievement while participating in aerial flight as an Aircraft Commander in Southeast Asia on 8 May 1967. On that date, Major Jancauskas was instrumental in freeing a friendly platoon engaged in combat with a well-entrenched hostile force. Because of Major Jancauskas' aerial marksmanship, friendly forces were able to advance without sacrificing their own men. The professional competence, aerial skill and devotion to duty displayed by Major Jancauskas reflect great credit upon himself and the United States Air Force.

2.) The President of the United States takes great pleasure in presenting the Distinguished Flying Cross to Major Alidore A. Jancauskas for extraordinary achievement while participating in aerial flight as Aircraft Commander of an F4C Phantom tactical jet fighter over the Republic of Vietnam on 31 May 1967. On that date, Major Jancauskas flew an armed reconnaissance mission over a highly defended route north of Dong Hoi, Republic of Vietnam. In spite of heavy defensive reaction, Major Jancauskas completed his mission in a highly successful manner. The professional competence, aerial skill and devotion to duty displayed by Major Jancauskas reflect great credit upon himself and the United States Air Force.
