Citation:  1.) The President of the United States takes great pleasure in presenting the Distinguished Flying Cross to Colonel Terence T. Henricks for extraordinary achievement while participating in aerial flight as Commander of the Space Shuttle Discovery, from 13 July 1995 to 22 July 1995. During this period, Colonel Henricks' thorough preparation, exceptional technical knowledge, unsurpassed operational expertise, and outstanding flying performance contributed directly and in great measure to the successful completion of this ambitious mission. The outstanding heroism and selfless devotion to duty displayed by Colonel Henricks reflect great credit upon himself and the United States Air Force.
