Citation:  1.) The authority contained in Army Air Forces, India-Burma Sector Memorandum 75-45B, 31 January 1944, and under the provisions of Army Regulations 600-45, 22 September 1943, the Distinguished Flying Cross is hereby awarded to the following named officers and enlisted men, attached to the Troop Carrier Squadron, for extraordinary achievement while participating in transport airplanes, during which exposure to enemy fire was probable and expected. During the periods indicated, they have completed flights from bases in Upper Assam, providing food, clothing, mail, medicinal supplies, and material to our forward elements, and to those of our Indian, British, and Chinese Allies in the hills and mountains of Upper Burma. Undaunted by the hazards faced regularly and continuously, they performed their duties in such a manner that the highest credit is reflected upon themselves and the military forces of the Untied States.
