Citation:  1.) The President of the United States takes great pleasure in presenting the Distinguished Flying Cross to Captain James H. Greshik for extraordinary achievement while participating in aerial flight as a Forward Air Controller in Southeast Asia on 14 November 1970. On that date, Captain Greshik flew his observation aircraft into an extremely high threat anti-aircraft artillery environment to interdict hostile supply lines. Despite accurate ground fire and low visibility due to haze, Captain Greshik directed air strikes resulting in one large secondary explosion, three large sustained fires, one truck damaged, and three trucks completely destroyed. The professional competence, aerial skill, and devotion to duty displayed by Captain Greshik reflect great credit upon himself and the United States Air Force.

2.) The President of the United States takes great pleasure in presenting the Distinguished Flying Cross to Captain James H. Greshik for extraordinary achievement while participating in aerial flight as a Forward Air Controller in Southeast Asia on 19 February 1971. On that date, Captain Greshik flew into a designated high threat area to give air support to a battalion of allied troops under attack by a superior hostile force. Despite marginal weather conditions and the extremely close proximity of friendly troops. Captain Greshik directed repeated strikes against hostile troops and mortar positions with such accuracy and effectiveness that the saving of numerous allied lives was insured. The professional competence, aerial skill, and devotion to duty displayed by Captain Greshik reflect great credit upon himself and the United States Air Force.

3.) The President of the United States takes great pleasure in presenting the Distinguished Flying Cross to Captain James H. Greshik for extraordinary achievement while participating in aerial flight as a Forward Air Controller in Southeast Asia on 8 April 1971. On that date, Captain Greshik flew his light unarmed observation aircraft into a designated high threat area to conduct night visual reconnaissance. Despite limited visibility and anti-aircraft fire directed at his aircraft, Captain Greshik located thirteen supply vehicles destroying eight of them and damaging three others thereby denying the hostile forces use of a vital supply route under the cover of darkness. The professional competence, aerial skill, and devotion to duty displayed by Captain Greshik reflect great credit upon himself and the United States Air Force.

Greshik for extraordinary achievement while participating in aerial flight as a Forward Air Controller in Southeast Asia on 19 April 1971. On that date, Captain Greshik flew his aircraft into an extremely hazardous air environment to direct air strikes against hostile supply traffic. Despite marginal weather and intense and accurate anti-aircraft artillery fire, Captain Greshik directed air strikes resulting in the destruction of ten trucks and three damaged. The professional competence, aerial skill, and devotion to duty displayed by Captain Greshik reflect great credit upon himself and the United States Air Force.
