Citation:  1.) The hazardous conditions he encountered, Lieutenant Ayesh displayed courage and skill without regard for his personal safety as he straddled the bomb bay drive shaft, using only a screwdriver in subzero temperatures and succeeded in closing the cargo doors. His heroic actions saved the lives of his fellow crew members and his aircraft. The outstanding heroism and selfless devotion to duty displayed by Lieutenant Ayesh reflect great credit upon himself and the United States Air Force.
