Citation:  1.) The Distinguished Flying Cross for extraordinary achievement, while serving as bombardiers of B-24 airplanes on many bombardment missions over enemy occupied Continental Europe. Displaying great courage and skill, these officers, fighting from their gun positions, have warded off many enemy attacks and have materially aided in the successful completion of each of these missions. The courage, coolness and exceptional skill displayed by these officers on all these occasions reflect the highest credit upon themselves and the Armed Forces of the United States.
