Citation:  1.) The President of the United States takes great pleasure in presenting the Distinguished Flying Cross to Flight Officer Reyburn F. Crocker for extraordinary achievement while participating in aerial flight against the enemy in the European Theater of Operations. On 25 February 1945, when the formation of which he was a member was attacked by fifty enemy aircraft, Flight Officer Crocker, unmindful of the numerical superiority of the hostile force, unhesitatingly opened fire upon them and destroyed one enemy plane, damaged two more, and assisted in the final dispersal of the remainder. Flight Officer Crocker’s devotion to duty and skillful aerial tactics brought great credit upon himself and his organization and are in keeping with the finest traditions of the military service.
