Citation:  1.) The President of the United States takes great pleasure in presenting the Distinguished Flying Cross to Staff Sergeant Cleveland R. Colston for extraordinary achievement while participating in aerial flight over Southeast Asia on 9 February 1967. While engaged in a mission of great importance to the support of friendly military forces, Sergeant Colston's calm courage and determination in the face of great personal danger aided immeasurably in the accomplishment of this hazardous and demanding flight. The professional competence, aerial skill, and devotion to duty displayed by Sergeant Colston reflect great credit upon himself and the United States Air Force.
