By direction of the President, under the provisions of AFR 30-14 and Section VII, General Orders Number 63, Department of the Air Force, 19 September 1950, the Distinguished Flying Cross is awarded to First Lieutenant Robert L. Able for extraordinary achievement while participating in aerial flight on 8 October 1952.
